Dorie Klusman, MAMFT, LPC

DK2 Dorie is passionate about bringing awareness to the need to normalize mental health treatment. She likes to be able to provide her clients a safe place to talk about their mental health, while helping them maneuver life stressors through client lead treatments.

Dorie graduated from Southern Nazarene University with a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. Her primary treatment methods are Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. She likes to take a whole body approach, which could include integrative health, such as nutrition and exercise. She has been trained in a variety of methods, so is able to provide a tailored approach to each client’s unique needs.

Dorie previously spent 11 years as a school counselor. She has worked with children between the ages of 3-15. She has extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, grief, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and trauma. She has also worked with children experiencing mood deregulation disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenic tendencies, reactive attachment disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, and suicidal ideation.

Outside of work Dorie enjoys spending time with her husband and two grown children. She also enjoys spending time outside, gardening, traveling, spending time with friends, and walking.
