Christie graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Community Counseling. She has worked in a community mental health agency for the past 15 years working with children and adolescents in a school-based setting. Her "go to" approach to therapy is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and has specialized training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She also believes that each client is unique and as a result of this understands the flexibility necessary to change things up in order to best meet a client's needs. Because of this she will utilize a solution focused approach and will help get you in, get you the help you need, and then on your way to a happier life.
Areas of treatment that Christie works with are: Depression, Anxiety, Oppositional Behaviors in Adolescents, ADHD Behaviors, Relationship Issues, and Adolescents struggling with Suicidal Ideation.
When not at work, Christie enjoy spending time with her husband and two children. She enjoys attending church, going to the lake, and just being outside. She also enjoys reading, listening to music, and exercise.
